To My Future Self

Remember this time.

Take a look back, take it all in, refresh yourself, remind yourself. Go through the painful feelings once more. Relive that hopelessness for a minute.

You were deaf, but now you hear. Blind, but now you see. Lame, but now you walk.

Amazing Grace.

Don’t let it be for nought.

Know what you have learned and continue applying it today. Remember what you experienced. Use it to add value to this world. Enhance the dynamics of society. Spread His Word, share His Name.

Feel the closeness to God as ever before. He was and is still the most predominant thing in your life. So take Him as you go… as you step away from that circumstance. As you’re able to breathe again make sure to breathe in God’s Word, breathe in His creation. Bask in His everlasting love.

Even though you are through the thickness, you are not fully independent but dependent upon Christ always. Even though you are able to walk now, you must walk the path He has set out. Even though you can see now, look to Him for guidance. Even though you can hear now, let His voice drown out the clanging gongs or noisy cymbals {1 Corinthians 13:1}.

Dance as if never before. Sing a new song of praise. Read and learn to grow up wise. Fellowship to your soul’s contentment. Pray as if it’s always your last prayer.

šŸŽ¶ Amazing Grace, How sweet the sound

That saved a wretch like me

I once was lost, but now am found

T’was blind but now I see

T’was Grace that taught my heart to fear

And Grace, my fears relieved

How precious did that grace appear

The hour I first believed

Through many dangers, toils and snares

We have already come.

T’was grace that brought us safe thus far

And grace will lead us home,

And grace will lead us homešŸŽ¶
