Ever feel like you have so much to say in gratitude that words just can’t even do it justice?
Well that’s how I feel while writing this one. My parents’ love, encouragement, support, guidance, and more are the epitome of how parents should be raising their kids. They have raised me well and I am forever grateful & thankful to be a part of this family.
If words could even come close to expressing that, my prayer is that these next ones will…
You are grace. You are love. You are joy. You are peace. You are everything a mother should be and then some. Thank you for your overwhelming care for me. When I am discouraged, distraught, and scared – you are there every step of the way. Even during the toughest of circumstances (such as your parents passing away a couple of years ago or this current situation with my health) you show strength to those around you when you may not be feeling very strong yourself.
I know these attributes I give you praise for come from the Lord because He is who you look to during good & bad times. You show me who I want to be when I grow up. You’re my best friend, my caretaker, my fighter, my role model. Thank you for all you are to me.
I love you.
You amaze me with your wisdom & responsibility in life.
The way you have taken care of this family is such a testimony to your reliance on God, your hard-working character, and your knowledge.
Your prayer, provision, protection and guidance has shown me what to look for in my future husband.
Thank you for your stern instruction & unconditional love. Thank you for your goofy dad jokes and sometimes ‘unwanted’ (but needed) cheesy hugs and kisses. Thank you for your patience during my growing years… no matter how many grey hairs I may have caused you. Thank you for pointing me to Jesus through your speech & actions. Thank you for being you.
I love you.
If you have people in your life you are grateful & thankful for…. don’t wait or be afraid to tell them. Let me know in the comments who makes YOUR life just a bit brighter by being in it🌟
